1. General Principles
This Refund Policy explains cancellation and refund rules for paid subscriptions, without prejudice to mandatory legal rights (including applicable consumer withdrawal rights).
All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (our Merchant of Record). Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, taxes, and refunds. Refunds will appear on the same payment method used for the original purchase.
2. Subscription Start
When you subscribe to Workout Plus or WorkoutGen Max, you get immediate access to all premium features.

- Keep access until the end of your billing period after cancellation
Billing
Your first payment is charged immediately when you subscribe. Subsequent payments are charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually).
EU/France consumer notice: if you request immediate access to digital services at checkout, you may expressly waive the 14-day withdrawal right where legally permitted (French Consumer Code, Article L221-28).
Renewal Reminders
We will send you an email reminder before your subscription renews to give you time to cancel if you wish.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
General Principle: No Prorated Refunds
Once your subscription is active, no prorated refund is provided for partially used periods, without prejudice to mandatory legal rights.
Example: If you subscribe to the 12-month plan and cancel after 2 months, you keep access until the end of the 12-month period, but no refund will be issued for the remaining months.
Exceptions: Refund Possible
We may exceptionally grant a refund in the following cases:
- Major technical issue: If the app is unusable for an extended period (more than 7 consecutive days) due to a bug or outage on our end, and we cannot resolve it quickly.
- Duplicate charge: If you were accidentally charged twice for the same period.
- Unauthorized charge: If you were charged after your subscription was already canceled. All unauthorized charge claims are verified against our internal payment and account records before any refund is processed.
- Premium features unavailable (14 days): If the premium features included in your plan are completely unavailable due to a confirmed technical issue on our side within 14 days of your first payment, you may be eligible for a refund at our sole discretion after verification.
Note: All refund requests are systematically verified against our internal records (account data, payment history, server logs). Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. We reserve the right to refuse any request that cannot be substantiated by our records, as well as abusive or repeated requests.
4. How to Cancel Your Subscription
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Here's how:
From Mobile App (iOS/Android)
- Open WorkoutGen
- Go to Settings (gear icon top right)
- Select Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm your choice
From Website
- Log in to my.workoutgen.app
- Click your profile (top right)
- Select Settings → Subscription
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Confirm your choice
By Email (if technical issue)

Effect of Cancellation
When you cancel your subscription:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period
- You continue to have access to premium features until the end date
- No automatic renewal will occur
- At the end of the period, you automatically revert to the free version
- Your workout data is preserved
5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for one of the exceptional cases mentioned above, follow this procedure:

- Date of the payment in question
- Amount charged
- Detailed reason for refund request
- Screenshots if applicable (error, duplicate charge, etc.) — note: screenshots serve as supplementary evidence only; all claims are verified against our server-side records
- Our review: We will review your request within 5 business days and respond by email.
- Refund processing: If approved, the refund will be processed within 7-14 business days (bank processing time varies).
6. Billing and Management via Lemon Squeezy
All payments, taxes, and refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy, LLC (our Merchant of Record).
Invoices
After each payment, Lemon Squeezy automatically sends you an invoice by email. You can also find your invoices in Settings → Subscription → Billing History.
Refunds
If a refund is granted, Lemon Squeezy will process it automatically and the amount will be credited to the payment method used for the original purchase (credit card, PayPal, etc.).
USD Pricing and Currency Conversion
Plan prices are shown in USD. Payments and refunds are issued in the original transaction currency used at checkout.
In case of exchange rate fluctuations between payment and refund dates, the refunded amount may slightly differ from the originally charged amount (due to bank conversion fees, beyond our control).
Important Note on Refunds
Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record, reserves the right to issue refunds at their discretion, particularly to prevent chargebacks. This decision is independent of our own refund policy.
Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase. Requests submitted after 14 days will be declined, except for duplicate or unauthorized charges, without prejudice to mandatory legal rights.
Sales tax refund requests must also be made within 14 days of purchase to be eligible.
7. No Refund Cases
Refunds are generally not granted in the following cases, without prejudice to mandatory legal rights:
- Change of mind: If you simply no longer want to use the service after subscribing.
- Lack of use: If you didn't use the app but forgot to cancel.
- Chargeback abuse: before disputing a payment with your bank, please contact us first. Filing a chargeback for a legitimate, verified transaction is considered fraud. Abusive or unsubstantiated chargebacks will result in permanent account suspension and may be reported to fraud prevention services.
- Terms violation: Fraudulent use of the service, account sharing, etc.
- Fraudulent refund requests: any refund request from an individual with no verifiable account or payment history in our systems, or supported by forged or manipulated evidence, will be refused and may be reported to the relevant authorities.

8. Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time.
Protection for Existing Subscribers
If you're already subscribed when a price change occurs:
- Your current rate remains unchanged until the end of your current subscription period
- You will be notified at least 30 days in advance before the new rate applies
- You can choose to cancel before renewal if you don't want to accept the new price

Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes, absolutely! You can cancel anytime from your account settings. You keep access until the end of your current billing period.
What happens if I cancel after payment?
You keep access to premium features until the end of the paid period. No prorated refund is provided, except in exceptional cases or where mandatory legal rights apply.
How long does a refund take?
If your refund request is approved, the amount is typically credited within 7-14 business days (variable bank processing time).
Can I switch plans (monthly → 12 months)?
You can switch to a higher plan anytime in Settings → Subscription. Some downgrades (for example annual to monthly or Max to Plus) require canceling and resubscribing after the current period.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
All your workout data is preserved. You simply revert to the free version and lose access only to premium features.
I was charged twice by mistake, what should I do?
Contact us at support@workoutgen.app with details of both transactions. We will verify your claim against our payment records. If a duplicate charge is confirmed, a refund will be issued.
